Most tests require prior fasting 10 – 12 hours (except water or medication).
The usual diet should not be altered, unless there is a specific indication from your doctor or laboratory.
For study of cholesterol and triglycerides, the usual diet must be maintained for at least three days prior to the exam.
If you are taking medication, ask your doctor if you should stop it or not.

Prior to sample collection, external genital hygiene should be performed only with water.
The sample must be collected in the appropriate container, no need to fill it out.
If you are in menstrual period, collect the sample three days after the last bleed.
